Thank you for deciding to purchase one of our puppies. We want to make this a stress free and enjoyable experience for you. We will keep you up to date with information about your puppy as it grows until it is time for your puppy to go to its new home.
This contract is written for the protection of both the breeder and the buyer - However, it is primarily written to protect the health and general well being of the puppy.
Purchase Agreement
1. Please read the health guarantee completely before sending a deposit. By sending a deposit, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions within this contract. You might want to print off a copy of this to keep with your records.
2. We require a $200 deposit in order to hold a puppy. You may send a check or you can use a Wal-Mart Money Gram - this works very well - all you have to do is go into your wal-mart store and pay the money there - they will wire the money to my Wal-mart store and I can pick it up there. This is a much faster way to put a deposit down on a particular puppy.
3. This deposit is non-refundable, unless there is a problem with the health of your puppy. In that case, the buyer will have their choice of a full refund or of transferring that deposit toward another puppy.
**Please be certain that you are ready for the time commitment and financial responsibility of a puppy prior to sending a deposit.**
Shipping - Delivery - Pick up
You will have several options when it comes time for your puppy to go to its new home.
1. We will meet you part way with your puppy. We will not charge for delivery up to two hours from our home. For further distances, we will meet you part way and the price will depend on the distance. This will almost always be less expensive than shipping by air. It is also far less traumatic for the puppy.
2. Shipping by air-
- If you would like to fly to here and carry the puppy on with you, I will meet you at the Moline, IL airport. There will be a $35 charge for the flight certificate which is required.
- The puppy can be shipped to you in cargo when the weather permits. The puppy will be shipped out of the Moline IL airport to any major airport in the 48 states. The cost will be $250. Please keep in mind that we cannot be responsible for the puppy once it is handed over to the airline!! I use Northwest Airlines when shipping puppies - they have always been very good and reliable, but there is always a risk!!
- The puppy can be carried on the plane and hand delivered to you at any major airport in the 48 states. The cost is $275. Please consider this option if you need the puppy shipped. We have someone who flies with the puppy - it never leaves his side, therefore it can’t get lost!! Also, since the puppy flies in the cabin with the passengers, weather is not a factor.
If your puppy is being shipped to you in cargo, the remainder of the purchase price plus the shipping cost will be due at least 2 weeks prior to shipping your puppy - Wal-Mart Money Gram or Postal Money Order only.
If your puppy is being delivered to you in any other method, the remainder of the purchase price plus any delivery fees( if applicable) will not be due until you actually get your puppy. The payment method may be cash or postal money order. We do not accept personal checks for the final payment.
Health Guarantee
1. It will be up to us, the breeders, to decide when the puppy will be ready to go to its new home. Usually at age 8-10 weeks, depending on the weight of the puppy and how easily it is weaned from its mother. We make no guarantee as far as delivery date of your puppy. We will not, under any circumstances, let the puppy leave before it is ready.
2. The puppy is guaranteed to be in good health at the time of sale.
3. The puppy will be up to date on shots and worming at the time of sale. It is very important that you continue the vaccinations and worming. Please do not expose your puppy to other dogs that are not vaccinated until he/she has completed the entire vaccination schedule - around age 16-20 weeks.
4. The puppy will have been vet checked and deemed in good health at the time of sale.
5. The buyer, at their own expense, should have the puppy examined by a licensed vet within 72 hours of receiving the puppy.
6. If within 72 hours, a licensed vet finds the puppy to be unhealthy or unfit for sale, the puppy may be returned for a full refund - provided the puppy has not been injured or neglected. The veterinarian must provide a written statement deeming the puppy “unhealthy for purchase”.
7. This guarantee does not cover any health issues caused by neglect or injury.
8. This guarantee does not include minor illnesses and health issues such as colds, allergies, internal or external parasites or umbilical hernias. However, the breeder will disclose any known illnesses or health issues prior to sale.
9. The breeder can not assume responsibility for this puppy after 72 hours of the sale. It is the responsibility of the buyer to care for the puppy properly and keep it free from harm. Please remember that your puppy must be treated with great care and protected from danger.
10. The breeder assumes no responsibility for any medical expenses incurred after the sale.
11. The breeder assumes no responsibility for training difficulties or behavior problems.
12. The breeder does not guarantee size. We will give the buyer the weight of the puppy’s parents and the weight of other puppies out of that mating. We can give the buyer an educated guess as to full grown weight, but there are too many variables besides genetics.
13. The breeder does not guarantee fertility or ability to place in shows. The puppy is strictly being sold as a quality pet.
14. The breeder is NOT responsible for puppies which develope Hypoglycemia after puppy has been delivered.
